Is medication abortion the same as RU 486?
There are three different types of medical abortion regimens: mifepristone/misoprostol, methotrexate/misoprostol, and misoprostol alone. Mifepristone was developed in France under the name RU486. Mifepristone is also known by its brand name, Mifeprex™.
