Transvaginal sonogram taken after mifepristone/misoprostol administration shows the presence of an empty gestational sac. A persistent gestational sac indicates an incomplete abortion. Management options include waiting for completion, administering a repeat dose of misoprostol, or performing an aspiration curettage.
